2nd European Conference on the Future Internet

The 2nd ECFI in Munich presents trends, technologies and innovations for the smart use of tomorrow‘s Internet in different application sectors. The event will bring together key stakeholders from large industry players as well as SMEs to discuss the development of Future Internet infrastructures and services in Europe.

ECFI Munich will present cutting-edge research results on the European Internet infrastructures and services of the future, which have been developed in the Future Internet Public-Private Partnership (FI-PPP).

In addition, the event will mark the start for the SME-driven innovation phase of the programme, where the FI-PPP will invest 80 million euros for application and service projects driven by European SMEs.

Anyone who would like to participate it is advised to register as early as possible to secure a ticket. The registration deadline is 3 September 2014.

The event is organised by the Future Internet Public-Private Partnership (FI-PPP), a European programme for Internet-enabled innovation aiming to accelerate the development and adoption of Future Internet technologies in Europe.

ECFI-2 SME Training day

Two introductory training sessions will be held on September 18, 2014 as part of the ECFI-2 SME Training day at the Technical University Munich, Garching, Germany.


The first introductory training session will take place on September 18 from 10:00 to 12:00 and it will be a training session dedicated to developers (SMEs and web-entrepreneurs) who want to use FI-WARE Open Ecosystem to run their experimentations.
This introductory training session will focus on SMEs and web-entrepreneurs who will respond to the Phase III open calls, to understand FI-WARE Open Ecosystem and prepare a high-level proposal in the most efficient manner.


The second session will take place on September 18 from 13:00 to 14:00. This would be a basic training session focused on explaining to Phase 3 accelerator projects how to illustrate FI-WARE Open Ecosystem to the SMEs and web entrepreneurs. Phase 2 projects are also welcome to attend if they wish.
