2nd PERASPERA workshop "Plan the European Roadmap and its Activities for Space Exploitation of Robotics and Autonomy"

You are cordially invited to participate in the 2nd PERASPERA workshop "Plan the European Roadmap and its Activities for Space Exploitation of Robotics and Autonomy",

on the 27th -29th of November 2016 at the Auditorio de Tenerife in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain.
We hereby refer to the workshop website, please click here.
In order to participate at the workshop it is mandatory to register via the registration form that can be found in the website.

Please consider that the workshop is limited to a maximum number of 250 participants.
Introduction to PERASPERA:
The PERASPERA activity has been funded by the EC H2020 programme in order to develop an integrated master plan (a.k.a. roadmap) of activities and associated activity descriptions, for a Strategic Research Cluster (SRC) in Space Robotics Technology.
Relationship between the PERASPERA PSA and SRC
The roadmap will be implemented within the SRC through operational grants, which will be recommended by the members of the PERASPERA Program Support Activity (PSA) and issued by the European Commission. The overall objective of the SRC is to deliver, within the 2023/2024 framework, key enabling technologies and demonstrate autonomous robotic systems at a significant scale as key elements for on-orbit satellite servicing and planetary exploration.
Process of consultation for the roadmap
The Space Robotics SRC has already an established roadmap and the first Operational Grants have been awarded. The 2nd PERASPERA workshop will help taking stock of what has happened in the SRC since its inception, but also and most importantly, it will kick off the process of consultation by which the  community of Space Robotics industry and Academia will influence the updated roadmap and the formulation of the next Calls into in the SRC.
Purpose of the workshop and why you should participate
This 2nd PERASPERA workshop will:
- provide an overview of the now-running activities and the status of the  SRC
- present the work of coordination and consultation carried out by the PERASPERA Program

Support  Activity (PSA) to update the roadmap
- present the orientation of the PERASPERA Program Support Activity (PSA) over the areas that

need be covered by the next call
- provide the opportunity to collect a first feedback on the above

Operators, component manufacturers, experts in space/ground robotics technology and satellites primes are invited to this opportunity to challenge and influence the ideas of the members of the PERASPERA Program Support Activity, and provide inputs for the European Space Robotics Technology roadmap by participating at the Panel discussions.

The participants can contribute to the workshop also by presenting a poster in a dedicated poster session. No oral presentation is foreseen from the participants.

Topics and invitation for posters:

The specific technical topics that will be discussed during the workshops are based on the PERASPERA technology tree,

and are the following:

A.     Applications and Concepts: Covers system aspects and innovative robotic concepts

        for space missions.

• Planetary Exploration:

Includes novel concepts for handling/assembly of surface infrastructure elements, novel aerobot concepts, novel robot concepts for exploration (including asteroids), micro and nano rover concepts and swarms;

• Orbital Systems:

Includes automation of orbital infrastructure, or non-cooperative satellites, satellite design for robotic servicing, compound operations of arms on free-flying platforms, assembly and servicing of space structures in orbit, multi-robot cooperation.

Participants are invited to submit posters in presenting their capabilities and interests in the topics subject of the workshop.
